Make Your Own Healthy and Delicious Blackberry Honey Fruit Leather at Home!

If you’re looking for a healthy and delicious snack that’s easy to make at home, homemade fruit leather is the perfect choice. And with fresh blackberries in season right now, there’s no better time to try making your own!

Unlike store-bought fruit snacks that are often loaded with sugar and artificial ingredients, homemade fruit leather is made using natural ingredients like fresh berries and honey as a sweetener. Plus, it’s a great way to use up extra fruits before they go bad.

Here’s how to make your own blackberry honey fruit leather:

Ingredients:
– 4 cups of fresh blackberries
– 1/4 cup of honey
– Parchment paper

Directions:
1. Preheat your oven to 170°F (or the lowest setting).
2. Rinse the blackberries under cold water and remove any stems or leaves.
3. Add the blackberries to a blender or food processor and blend until smooth.
4. Pour the pureed mixture into a saucepan over medium heat.
5. Add the honey to the mixture and stir well until fully combined.
6. Cook on low-medium heat for about 10 minutes or until it thickens slightly.
7. Remove from heat and let cool for about five minutes.

While waiting for it to cool down, prepare parchment paper by cutting them into strips that are large enough for one serving of fruit leather.

8. Line baking sheets with parchment paper so that they overlap each other slightly.
9. Pour the cooled mixture onto one end of each strip of parchment paper leaving space around its edges.
10.Use an offset spatula or backside of spoon spread out evenly across each strip without leaving too much thickness in any area
11.Place baking sheet(s) in preheated oven at 170°F (or lowest setting) and bake for approximately six hours or until firm when touched but not brittle.

Once done, take out from oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Once it has cooled down, you can peel the parchment paper from one end and roll up the blackberry fruit leather in each strip.

Store your homemade blackberry honey fruit leather in an airtight container at room temperature for up to two weeks or refrigerate for longer shelf life.

This recipe is perfect for those who want to avoid refined sugars while enjoying a delicious, healthy snack that’s easy to make at home. It also makes a great lunchbox addition or on-the-go snack that you can take with you anywhere!

Conclusion:
Making your own blackberry honey fruit leather is fun and easy. With just a few simple ingredients and some patience, you can create a delicious, healthy snack that everyone will love. So next time you have extra fresh berries lying around, give this recipe a try!
