Pineapples are a delicious and nutritious fruit that is loved by many people around the world. They are packed with vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants that help to boost our immunity and keep us healthy. However, the cost of pineapples varies widely depending on where you live in the world. In this article, we will be looking at the cost of pineapples in different regions/countries/markets.

1) United States: In the US, pineapples can be found in most supermarkets all year round. The average price for a single pineapple is around $2-$3.

2) Canada: Pineapples are also readily available in Canada. The average price for a single pineapple is around CAD 4-5.

3) Europe: In Europe, pineapples are not grown locally and need to be imported from tropical countries such as Costa Rica or Thailand. The average price for a single pineapple is around €3-€6 depending on the country.

4) Asia: Pineapple is grown extensively throughout Southeast Asia making it one of the cheapest places to buy them. A kilogram of fresh pineapples costs about INR 30-60 ($0.41-$0.82).

5) Africa: Pineapple production has been increasing rapidly across Africa because it thrives well under hot temperatures and easily adapts to diverse soil types across many African countries like Kenya & Ghana where they sell between Kshs 50-100($0.46-$0.92)

6) Australia/New Zealand: Pineapple prices here vary depending on whether they’re imported or locally grown; Imported ones usually cost more than those grown domestically (AUD$2-AUD$5).

7) South America: Pineapple grows abundantly in countries like Brazil which has made it cheap compared to other continents; On average, one can get four pieces for BRL10 ($1)

8) Middle East/Arabia: Pineapple is not grown in the region hence making it one of the most expensive fruits to buy; In Dubai, for example, a single pineapple costs around AED 10-15 ($2.72-$4.08).

9) Caribbean: The average price for a single pineapple varies from $1-$3 depending on countries like Haiti and Dominican Republic.

10) Mexico: Pineapples are grown locally and can be found in most markets across the country with an average cost of about MXN 20-30($0.97-$1.46)

11) Central America: Costa Rica, Panama, Guatemala are known for their export-quality pineapples which make them cheap compared to other places; A kilogram goes between CRC300-CRC600($0.50-$1)

12) India & Pakistan – Pineapple’s production has been increasing steadily over the years thereby reducing its price significantly; One can get a medium-sized pineapple at INR40($0.55)-INR60($0.82).

13) Japan – Since pineapples don’t grow well here due to weather conditions, imported Hawaiian pineapples usually cost around JPY1000-JPY2000 ($9.16-$18.32), making it one of the most expensive fruits in this region.

14) China – Pineapple is produced mainly in Hainan province which makes them cheap compared to other regions within China with prices ranging from CNY2-CNY6 ($0.31-$0.93)

15) Russia – Despite not having favorable climatic conditions that favor growing pineapples commercially, they still import mostly canned ones which range from RUB70-RUB200 ($1-$2).

In conclusion, the cost of pineapples varies greatly depending on where you live or your proximity to major exporting countries such as Thailand or Costa Rica among others but generally if you’re in a region where they are grown locally, it will be cheaper than importing them from abroad.
