Elevate Your Brussels Sprouts Game with Pesto Parmesan Roasting

Brussels sprouts are a nutrient-packed vegetable that often get a bad rap, but when prepared correctly, they can be absolutely delicious. One popular and tasty way to enjoy Brussels sprouts is by roasting them with Pesto Parmesan. This simple yet flavorful dish elevates the humble Brussels sprout into a gourmet side dish that will have your taste buds singing.

To make Pesto Parmesan roasted Brussels sprouts, start by preheating your oven to 400°F (200°C). While the oven is heating up, wash about one pound of Brussels sprouts and trim off the ends. Cut any large Brussels sprouts in half so that they cook evenly. Place the prepared Brussels sprouts in a bowl and add two tablespoons of store-bought or homemade pesto sauce. Toss the Brussels sprouts in the pesto until they are evenly coated.

Next, spread the pesto-coated Brussels sprouts out on a baking sheet in a single layer. Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over the top of the Brussels sprouts, adding as much or as little as you like based on your preference for cheesy goodness.

Roast the Brussels sprouts in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes or until they are tender on the inside and crispy on the outside. The Parmesan cheese should be melted and slightly golden brown.

Once done, remove from oven and serve immediately while still hot. The combination of nutty roasted flavor from the Brussels sprounts, herbaceous notes from pesto sauce, and salty richness from Parmesan cheese creates an irresistible medley of flavors that will have even picky eaters asking for seconds.
