Alkaline Diet Guidelines and Recipes
The alkaline diet, also known as the acid-alkaline diet or alkaline ash diet, is based on the idea that consuming certain foods can help regulate the pH balance of your body. The theory behind this diet is that eating acidic foods leads to an imbalance in your body’s pH level, which can cause inflammation and disease.
To follow an alkaline diet, you need to eat mostly fruits and vegetables that have an alkalizing effect on your body. These include leafy greens like kale and spinach, root vegetables like carrots and beets, and citrus fruits like lemons and grapefruits. You should also avoid acidic foods like meat, dairy products, processed foods, caffeine, alcohol, sugar and artificial sweeteners.
Here are some delicious recipes that are perfect for a healthy Alkaline meal:
1) Green Smoothie – Blend kale leaves with frozen pineapple chunks until smooth. Add some lemon juice for extra flavor.
2) Beet Salad – Roast beets then toss them with arugula leaves dressed in lemon juice and olive oil. Top it off with pumpkin seeds.
3) Quinoa Bowl – Cook quinoa according to package directions. Sauté some mushrooms with garlic then combine both together in a bowl along with chickpeas (or any legumes), cherry tomatoes cut in half.
By following these guidelines regularly will help individuals maintain their health while avoiding harmful effects of inflammatory conditions caused by acidic diets.
